The organization operated as a grassroots movement until it received their 501(c)3 letter of determination in November 2008. The IRS gave a final determination dating back to the 2000 incorporation date. The majority of our funding comes from private individuals, in-kind donations and services. We have been the recipient of small monetary and technical supportive grants for program development and increasing organizational capacity. We are in the planning stage of developing an aggressive fundraising campaign to place us in a stronger financial positioning and allow us to accomplish our extended vision of increasing services rendered to the community.
